ToJo is a fun, fresh blend of herbal tea and real fruit juice. Each one of ToJo’s ingredients have a delicious
taste and nutritious benefit for your body. ToJo is targeted towards young adults who are more invested in a brand’s values, environmental impacts, and health benefits. I created the branding, packaging, an advertising campaign, and a short commercial for ToJo.
For the branding and packaging, I illustrated the ingredients of each flavor and arranged them into radial patterns. These radial patterns are inspired by mandalas, Islamic tile work patterns, Persian patterns, and patterns from other Eastern cultures that value tea for its medicinal and spiritual uses. ToJo uses bright colors and patterns to match the unique flavors and to show the fun and fresh values of ToJo. I explained the health benefits of each ingredient on the back of the can near the nutrition facts.
Mojo is defined as “a quality that attracts people to you and makes you successful and full of energy.” Find Your ToJo is an ad campaign based on the saying “find your mojo” because mojo rhymes with ToJo and associates the positive quality of mojo with the ToJo brand. For the campaign I used nature scenes to show the natural and organic values of ToJo. I used minimal text to put more focus on the product. These ads can be displayed horizontally and vertically, so they can be shown in a variety of places such as billboards, magazines, websites, and social media. Our young adult target audience is more tech savvy and responds well to websites, social media, and digital advertising.
I created a short commercial for ToJo. This commercial uses the radial patterns from ToJo’s packaging and spins them to create a fun and playful movement inspired by kaleidoscopes. This commercial shows the fun side of ToJo by using upbeat music, the brand’s bright colors and graphics, and a fast paced motion. This commercial is shorter, so it can be used on social media and websites to target the tech savvy young adult audience.
