Jackie Drozd Portfolio - Dancing Roots

I illustrated an underground scene of dancing plant roots using both traditional and digital media.

I created my textures with various traditional media and scanned them to use digitally. I made the flat, colored illustration digitally, and then I added the traditional textures on top in Photoshop.

I began my process with traditional paper and pencil sketches to explore different concepts for an underground scene. My sketches included caves, bug traffic, trolls, and dancing plant roots. I took my best concept of the dancing roots to refine further in Photoshop.
